Aaron & Becky Hale Family Fundraiser
Dear Aaron & Becky Hale Family & Friends,
We could address each of you by name and say how grateful we are to have been able to meet you, travel with you, and even start working relationships with some of you, but then this letter could end up being overwhelmingly long – you were the absolutely the biggest group we’ve ever had, about 4 times larger than the normal group size! You are also one of the most compassionate groups we’ve traveled with, filled with the Spirit of the Lord to “Do Something” for “the least of these [our] brothren”.
Your support and humanitarian work will leave a positive impact on the communities we visited and served for years to come. It was such a blessing to drill clean water wells with you, give presentations at primary and secondary schools, serve the children lunches, paint a school, volunteer at Neema Village, attend the temple with the Saints, and visit Mully Children’s Family.
We also loved witnessing your group experience the adventures of Africa, including the safari, Ndoro Waterfalls, Chagga Caves, Kilimanjaro, the largest sugar cane farm in Tanzania, hours-long bus rides of bonding, and more. As Rex Kimball puts it– “it was a Hale of a ride!” Because of your spiritual nature and daily devotionals you probably even captured some deep and life-long lessons from these adventures, such as “pole, pole to the top, slow and steady, keep moving forward”.
We have created this page so that you can continue experiencing joy in “doing something” for these wonderful people that we’ve met across the ocean. Feel free to use this page to continue donating or share this page with other family and friends to springboard conversations about your experiences in Africa. It’s also a place where we’ve included some highlights of the trip below.
We love you all and hope to have a continued connection with you as we work to provide clean water in Africa, reduce water-related disease and childhood deaths, allow young women to attend school, give children hope for the future, and make a positive impact on these communities for years to come.
Sincerely,
