Eli & Jenay Hopkins Family Well Fundraiser

Dear Family and Friends,

We invite you to join us in raising funds for a clean water well that will be dedicated in our family name and have a plaque that will include all the names of those who participate in this fundraiser.

On average, a child under age 5 dies every minute in East Africa due to water-related disease, and many more older individuals may also die or get sick. Young women are often the ones fetching water for their families, walking for hours and miles to find any possible water source, which keeps them from attending school and makes them susceptible to violent crimes. Areas of extreme poverty also desperately need clean water to produce much needed crops.

This is a cause that has touched our hearts and we feel a deep and profound motivation to do our part in caring for these children of God across the ocean. That’s why we’ve created this fundraiser with Hearts and Hands for Humanity. Their custom-designed human-powered drill allows them to provide clean water wells at 1/4 the cost of wells provided by other charities and they treat all donated funds as sacred, regardless of the amount donated. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 to cover the cost of one of these wells, which will serve thousands of children and their families for over a decade, transform the community where it is installed and literally save lives.
